Weekly Photo Challenge . Afloat

Wow, it’s my first post of the year! I can’t even explain where I disappeared off to, it feels like just yesterday was Christmas Eve. I can’t believe how fast the months are flying by!

This weeks photo challenge is a good topic to get me back into my postings again.

I was able to be “afloat” over Madrid on a beautiful spring day last week (thanks to Teleferico de Madrid). We silently floated over rooftops, train tracks, gardens, and at last we saw the grand view of the city. Snow-capped mountains stood in the distance. It was a nice little getaway from the bustling city!

Labyrinth

My abandoned children’s hospital series continues.

The hospital complex is made up of different buildings, each with a labyrinth of stairs that beg you to climb them and explore. One of the main buildings suffers a great amount of fire damage. In 2013 alone, vandals set the hospital ablaze 11 times.

Weekly Photo Challenge . Eerie

I took these photos in an old, abandoned paper mill outside of Berlin Germany.  Exploring the old buildings and discovering eerie street art in the dark corners felt like another world.

I apologize for the lack of updates this past week. My friend’s family was in town visiting and we were having way too much fun! I’ll be posting more this week, including an Autumn set that I can’t stop looking at!!
